Bucks County Council: Rural Bus Service Survey 2018

Hazlemere Parish Council has applied to the Department of Community and Local Government (DCLG) to seek the approval from the Secretary of State for Communities to apply for a SALIX Finance Ltd loan of £12,200 of up to 4 years to replace the 125 street lights with LED over a 4 year period to improve the street lighting. The annual repayments for the loan will come to around (£3,050). The Council wishes to seek your views and opinions on this matter if you have any.

Hazlemere Parish Council understands the need for new housing in this area, and appreciates the efforts of the local planning authority to engage with local stakeholders and minimise the impact. In this response, Hazlemere Parish Council focus on our 5 priorities: •Protecting the recreation ground and the three fields alongside as a natural ‘lung’ for the area. Hazlemere Parish Council strongly oppose access through the recreation ground •Maintaining Hazlemere’s separate village identity •Reducing the impact on neighbouring AONBs •Ensuring suitable development for the topography •Ensuring that local infrastructure and amenities are sufficient. Rose Avenue Traffic Calming - Public Consultation Report

Hazlemere Parish Council successfully proposed a pedestrian crossing feasibility study to be undertaken for Rose Avenue, Hazlemere to the Chepping Wye Valley Local Area Forum (LAF) under The 2012-13 Localities Budget. This study aims to identify potential crossing provisions and identify solutions to other traffic and safety Concerns raised by the Parish Council and local schools.

Hazlemere Skatepark Public Consultation Results

The results of the public Skatepark Consultation were published by the Parish Council at last nights Full Council Meeting, with 98% of entries in support of the project. In light of the overwhelmingly positive response, the Council has agreed for the Skatepark Working Party to prepare a comprehensive business plan for Full Council review.

Traffic Calming Rose Avenue, Hazlemere - Public Consultation

The concerns in the community regarding traffic accidents in Rose Avenue have been a discussion point for Hazlemere Parish Council. The Council have agreed the best way forward is to go to public consultation which will run for 6 weeks. We would also be interested to hear your views regarding other road calming techniques, for example, humps in the road or road narrowing to slow down the speeding cars, etc.
