Street Furniture

The Parish Council owns and maintains street furniture on its land.

Benches and Seats

There are numerous benches and seats on Council owned land, which are repaired, varnished and maintained on a regular basis by the Parish Council.

The location of these are in all three Recreation Grounds which includes Rose Avenue, Amersham Road and The Dell; at the Parish Council offices in Cedar Barn.

Gates and Bollards

There are numerous gates and bollards on Council owned land, which are repaired and maintained on an annual basis by the Parish Council.

Dog and Litter Bins

There are 24 dog bins on Council owned land, which are emptied on a weekly basis by the Council's contractor.

There are numerous litter bins on Council owned land, which are emptied on a daily working day basis by the Council's Warden. They are repaired and maintained on regular basis by the Parish Council's Warden.

Bus Shelters

The Council owns and maintain seven brick built bus shelters three on Rose Avenue; one on Penn Road; one on Amersham Road and two on Holmer Green Road and 2 clear 'plastic' shelters in Holmer Green Road and Rose Avenue.

Each shelter has a small bench perch seat.

Currently the inside of the brick Bus Shelters are painted green if they have been subjected to a large amount of graffiti; otherwise they are left in their original brick interior. 

In 2013 and 2017 Sir William Ramsay School's Art Department, together with the Parish Council, embarked on a graffiti project for street art on the interior of the Bus Shelter by the Community Centre in Rose Avenue.

Adverts are currently contracted out for the exterior ends of the Bus Shelters at Hazlemere Crossroads.

Signage

The Parish Council owns and maintains a variety of signs on Council owned land. 

Footway Streetlights

The Parish Council owns and maintains over 500 LED Footway Streetlights in Hazlemere, which are designed to illuminate the footway at night.

The repair and maintenance is undertaken by the Council's contractors. Members of the Public's help is sought in notifying the Council if the lights are defective either by email to the Parish Council at clerk@hazlemereparishcouncil.org.uk or by leaving a telephone message on the Office's telephone on 01494 715548. Each column should have a label and a number for the column which should be notified to the Council with its exact location.

Roadway 5m Streetlights: owned and maintained by Bucks County Council

The 5m column lights on all major roads in Hazlemere are the property of Bucks County Council who maintain and repair these lights. If you need to report a fault please use the Bucks County Council website Transport For Buckinghamshire section.
